Early High School Grad

One thing that I've been waiting for, was graduating high school. This finally happened last Wednesday on December 20th, 2017. Since June I've been accepted at Parkland Community College and had the chance to do Orientation in November to sign up for my classes. My goal was to start college in January 2018 and take most of my classes online so I can work more hours. Luckily, that was able to be accomplished when I talked to my Adviser at the end of Orientation. She did give me some advice, letting me know that if I'm taking a math class, that I should probably take it at the school instead of online. That was probably the best advice anyone has given me recently! I'm not good with learning math on my own without someone teaching me what I need to know, so having that class as an actual class at the school will definitely be helpful.

My expectations for college are pretty stressful even though I know if I do the work and try my hardest that it won't be so bad. The classes I'm going to start with taking are English 101, Psychology 101, Intro to Non-Western Music, and Intro to Applied Statistics. I'm looking forward to having more time to work and save up money since I'll be taking most of my classes online. The goal for work is to be able to work at least 20 to 25 hours every week. If I'm able to accomplish that, then I feel like I'll be less stressed out and I'll be able to focus more on school while at home.

I'm planning on doing more updates as time goes on, for personal use to see how far I've come in a couple months' time, and just to share my experiences with anyone who's interested in reading. I hope to share some exciting things on here, whether it actually be directly about my classes and college, or even about my experiences at work (trust me there's plenty already). I will update once my classes start on January 16th.
